Tropopause  has  overlapping  structure.   Jet  Streams  [ Tubular  Earth  Circling  High  Speed Wind  Ribbons ]  form  at  Overlaps  -  particularly  Artic  &  Extratropical  ( Temp.  Contrast ).   Core  speed  typically  100 mph,  can  exceed  300 mph.   Number  can vary.  General  East  Flow.   Max.  speeds  usually  over  Japan  &  New  England.
